This part is one component of the Trip Cable assembly used on the distributor. The part consists of the ball and shell and cap, which snaps onto the ball. The thread length of the ball (stud) is 9/16" long and this attaches to the RH Trip Arm Assembly. The other end of the Trip Cable is the Ball Joint 7/16. The 7/16" ball (stud) attaches to the Trip Rocker Arm weldment. The Trip Cable pulls the Trip Rocker Arm forward as a pin travels over and off the Trip Arm assemblies. This allows the distributor to advance (index) to the next pin pocket on the binCompatible with: 90 XLi, 8290 - 90 XL, 8800, 8270
